1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Loop Safety. By downloading, installing, or using our mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.

2. Description of Service

Loop Safety is a free personal safety mobile application that allows users to:

  • Add emergency contacts to be notified in times of emergency
  • Trigger alerts via an SOS button, panic button (5-second hold), or countdown timer
  • Start live video streaming sessions viewable by emergency contacts
  • Capture images and record audio during incidents
  • Maintain a personal activity timeline stored on-device
  • View an interactive map showing the status of their contacts

The Service is currently available on iOS. An Android version is in development.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access certain features of the Service, you may need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information as necessary.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

3.3 Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

4. Use of the Service

4.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Service for personal safety purposes in accordance with these Terms. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes.

4.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Submit false or misleading emergency alerts
  • Use live streaming or evidence capture features to harass, stalk, or harm others
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Use automated means to access the Service without permission

5. Emergency Disclaimer

IMPORTANT: Loop Safety is designed to supplement, not replace, official emergency services. While we strive to provide reliable alert delivery and live streaming, we cannot guarantee:

  • Continuous, uninterrupted access to the Service
  • That alerts will always be delivered in real time (network conditions may vary)
  • That live streams will be available in all network conditions

Always contact official emergency services (911 in the United States) when facing an emergency. Loop Safety is a supplementary tool and should not be your sole means of seeking help in a life-threatening situation.

6. On-Device Data Storage

Loop Safety stores most user data, including your activity timeline, captured photos, and audio recordings, locally on your device. You are responsible for backing up your device. We are not responsible for data loss resulting from device damage, loss, or failure.

7. Live Streaming

The live streaming feature transmits video from your device to your designated emergency contacts. By using this feature, you consent to the transmission of video and audio data. You are responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to record in your jurisdiction and context.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by Loop Safety and is protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service without written permission.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOOP SAFETY AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO FAILURE OF ALERTS TO DELIVER, INTERRUPTION OF LIVE STREAMS, OR LOSS OF ON-DEVICE DATA.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
